Goodbyes

I am sad to announce that there will be yet another new blogger - today is my last day of work at Mineralistic. I am starting a new job tomorrow working to help improve our air quality. Hopefully I will be back to work part-time during the holidays. Its a very sad time, Mineralistic has been my home away from home since 2006. At the same time its exciting to start a career in the field I went to school for.

In happier news the new minerals are priced and on display! Hand-polished rubies, tiger iron and ocean jasper. New amethyst geodes, selenite roses, giant citrine points, and more! B-e-a-utiful bracelets in onyx, carnelian, ocean jasper, tiger eye and dendritic opal - just to name a few. And you can't forget the vibrant dichroic glass pendants.

FaerieCon is fast approaching! If you are planning to attend be sure to keep a look out for us - we will be handing out special treats. For Friday, October 31st we will be having a Halloween party, complete with a costume contest.

The past two weeks

Sorry for the posting delay, but the past fewweeks here at Mineralistic have been so busy that there hasn't been time to post!

First things first - if you haven't been to the store in at least two weeks you are in for a special treat - the Halloween windows are done! Complete with zombies, many skeletons, black cats and even a few witches, these windows are stocked with everything Halloween. We even have the Headless Horseman! He is from our popular line of folk-art inspired designs that are made from papier-maché, paper pulp, resin, tin, hand-dyed and appliqued wool, cotton batting, mercury glass, pottery, wood and vintage reproduction papers. Be sure to come in and check them out - they go fast.

We have some new jewelery as well - a huge ammonites pendant, real flower pendants and earrings, jasper pendants and some new silk cords to put them on. These cords are a colorful break from traditional sterling silver chains. Choose from navy blue, copper, black, silver or gold.

Big plans are also underway for FairieCon on October 10th-12th and Halloween! Stay tuned for more updates.

Week Ending 9.7

Brace yourself...This week at Mineralistic we have gotten in new products almost everyday, and there is still more on the way! We have been working hard to inspect the merchandise to make sure our customers are only getting the best products. Here's a little taste:

1. We have received more of our popular ceramic frogs & lizards, including a new frill-necked lizard and several turtles.

2. Hand-cast reproductions of actual Celtic, French and German crosses. Each cross comes with a description of its meaning and history. Seen below is the Slane Abbey Cross from Ireland.

3. A new assortment of dragons, bubble fairies, gargoyles and a phoenix. Including a sea dragon, a 22 inch fairy, a gargoyle picture frame, and the hear/see/speak no evil gargoyles. 

4. New greenman candle holders, a sand timer, and a jewelery box.

5. Funeralic angels which are reproductions from statues at graves.

6. Fair Peeps, a village of fairies, gnomes and gremlin-like creatures. Each has their own important job such as the Mush Kids (seen below) who are responsible for making sure the mushrooms are prosperous.

7. Zodiac bracelets which use balancing stones to enhance your strengths and help you to overcome your weaknesses.

8. Egyptian reproductions including hand mirrors, jewelery boxes and sculptures of different gods, goddesses and Pharaohs.

9. Art Nouveau candle holders, mirrors and jars finished with a cast bronze appearance.
