2nd Annual Summer Solstice Party!

We would like to invite you to or 2nd annual Summer Solstice Party!

When: June 19th 6pm-9pm
Where: At Mineralistic located at 319 South Street

We will have Free palm reading, free henna and free snacks!

Henna is made with lemon juice, tea tree oil and henna powder. No unnatural chemicals added. Books with design will be available to browse. Feel free to bring any ideas for your henna design with you.

Summer Solstice- June 19th

The Summer Solstice, also called Litha or Midsummer, is the celebration of the sun's peak of power at the end of the waxing cycle of the wheel.  Mirroring the winter solstice, this is the longest day of the year.

Celebrate Solstice time like Pagans -- take part in the Pagan Spirit Gathering or some other Pagan festival happening during June. Keep a Sacred Fire burning throughout the gathering. Stay up all night on Solstice Eve and welcome the rising Sun at dawn. Make a pledge to Mother Earth of something that you will do to improve the environment and then begin carrying it out. Have a magical gift exchange with friends. Burn your Yule wreath in a Summer Solstice bonfire. Exchange songs, chants, and stories with others in person or through the mail. Do ecstatic dancing to drums around a blazing bonfire.

Appropriate rituals for this holiday include personal purifications, charging ritual objects with the sun's power, the making of mead (honey ritual wine) and all healing work.
